Bin Laden Unpopular With Fellow Terrorists

If you think this Bin Laden character is unpopular with us, try to imagine how his little terrorist buddies must feel about him these days. I'm somewhat limited in my choice of "f-words" by the fact that I'm hoping to get this published, but, put succinctly as possible, Binny fouled it up for everybody.

The sound of a collapsing stock market notwithstanding, the resounding "pop" you heard on or about September 11th was our (n)ever vigilant government pulling its collective head out of that proverbial place where the sun don't shine. Our so-called "elected representatives" may not be the sharpest knives in the drawer, but, apparently, the death of nearly four thousand people is enough of a wake up call even for them. It may have taken a disaster of apocryphal proportions to bring them out of their coma, but it has finally begun to dawn on them that if some clown declares war on the United States, yada, yada, yada, we had better start taking them seriously - as in deadly serious.

The problem is, this takes all the fun out of terrorism. Heck, half the fun in being a terrorist is selling "woof tickets" about what you're going to do to the "Filthy Capitalist Lackey Running Dogs" (or whatever they're calling us these days). That becomes somewhat of a liability, however, if every time you start running your mouth some Navy Ensign 500 miles away pushes a button and shoves a Cruise Missile up your jumper. And, if that's not bad enough, I hear that we have Special Forces types who can put a bullet through your left eye without chipping the bone, at a thousand yards, in a high wind, with a branch in the way.

The fact of the matter is, there just ain't no percentage in being a terrorist these days. It's kinda hard to raise money, supporters, or anything else for that matter, when about the only threat you can make (without calling in an air-strike) is to write a strongly worded letter of protest to your local newspaper.
